High school student Hannah Baker kills herself, and leaves seven tapes. Thirteen people acquire these tapes and are instructed to listen, and then pass on. Everyone on these tapes go to the same high school, and each one of them knows what the other twelve people did.

This book shows a teenage boy who has to make some very big decisions throughout the book. It also shows us how important it is to be aware of our actions, as even the littlest thing can impact someone greatly.
